EVO Explores The Collections of the Museum

What really happens beyond those STAFF doors at the Peabody Museum? This year, EVOLUTIONS took a look behind-the-scenes at the vast collections of artifacts, objects, and specimens that researchers use every day to help us understand the natural world and our place within it. The dioramas, videos, posters and objects on display represent just a glimpse into the work of Peabody collections. Students toured six areas: Entomology, Botany, Vertebrate Zoology, Invertebrate Paleontology, Meteoritics, and Anthropology, then worked in small groups to dig deep into the active research that happens in those spaces. All of the work for this exhibit was prodused entirely by EVO students. Thank you to our collections managers and graduate students for your outstanding contribution to this project.
